EVGA will replace all RTX 3090s that were burned out by Amazon’s New World

Hardware manufacturer EVGA has announced that it will replace all RTX 3090 graphics cards that were killed during the launch of the New World beta, which kicked off this week. Amazon Games Studios has already released a hotfix that limits the frame rate in menus without affecting the entire game. Although the company has previously assured that the closed beta is safe to run, whether there is a patch or not.

However, these assurances don’t do much to reassure those who have spent almost $2,000 on the most powerful gamer’s graphics card.
According to sources at EVGA, the company is already shipping new graphics cards to victims. That said, if a gamer’s RTX 3090 stopped working, there’s no need to wait to send it to a tech center and check it out – if support approved the replacement, the new graphics cards are sent immediately.

How New World developers tested the game? After all, this is not the first time the title kills GPU – even during the alpha there were reports of such a thing. Gamers believe that the problem lies in how New World’s rendering works. This means that it’s better to re-insure and turn on the game’s frame rate limit.
