Counting Focus Home Interactive’s money: The success of Necromunda: Hired Gun and the back catalog

French publisher Focus Home Interactive has published its financial report for the first quarter of this year. The company showed solid results, although not everything went as planned. For example, the release of Necromunda: Hired Gun was considered a success, but the other two – Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground and Hood: Outlaws & Legends – were not.

The company’s revenue dropped significantly, by 36%. It was 41.2 million euros, of which 23.8 came from the back catalog. Greedfall, World War Z and SnowRunner showed high sales, which also performed well with its release on Switch and Steam. Nearly 90 percent of the copies sold came on digital.

In the coming years, the company will release games that Deck13, StreumOn, Asobo, Saber, Dontnod Entertainment, Tindalos Interactive and several other studios are developing for it. This should help the company earn between 250 and 300 million euros over the next two years.
